Dear Philosophers of Sport,
IAPS is committed to stimulate, encourage, and promote research, scholarship and teaching in the philosophy of sport and related practices. For this purpose, IAPS organizes an annual conference where most of the members meet and present their ideas. Also, three times a year IAPS publishes a newsletter to inform members about its various activities. Research outcomes of the philosophy of sport can be found in the Journal of the Philosophy of Sport, which is widely acknowledged, respected and quoted. IAPS members are to be found all over the world and constitute a growing and vibrant international community of scholars and teachers.
